On September 8, 2018 shortly after 1:00 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen initiated complaint in the area of Rebecca Street and Bronte Road in Oakville.
As a result of an investigation, Pawel Alfar (67), of Oakville was charged with driving while ability impaired and driving over 80 mgs.
On September 8, 2018 shortly after 2:30 am, Halton Police officers initiated a traffic stop near Maple Avenue and Ontario Street in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Alexander Gibson (67), of Burlington was charged with driving over 80 mgs.
On September 9, 2018 shortly after 2:30 am, Halton Police officers were conducting a R.I.D.E initiative in the area of Guelph Street and Noble Street in Georgetown. A traffic stop was conducted and as a result of an investigation, Amanpreet Mangat (19), of Brampton was charged with fail or refuse to provide sample.
The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.
Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.

All persons charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
