The Piano Guys featuring Jon Schmidt, Steven Sharp Nelson, Paul Anderson, and Al van der Beek return to Toronto’s Sony Centre for the Performing Arts on Thursday May 12, 2016 at 8 pm. Their return engagement follows up on their sold-out success this past March. Tickets go on sale this Friday, October 2 at 10am.
The Piano Guys are a YouTube sensation thanks to their immensely successful series of strikingly original self-made music videos. They’ve made over 50 music videos since early 2011, including their breakout hit, an innovative multi-handed version of One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful”, a gorgeous reinvention of the hit song “Let It Go” from Disney’s Frozen and a mashup of Michael Jackson songs with music by Mozart. Their videos are fun and funny while showing off what skilled musicians they are.
To date, the Utah-based classical-pop group has released four major label albums on Portrait/Sony Music Masterworks, all of which have reached number one on the Billboard New Age Albums and Classical Albums charts: The Piano Guys, The Piano Guys 2, A Family Christmas and Wonders.
Their YouTube videos have had 500 million views with some songs hitting 20 million views. You have to see them for yourself:
